Welcome!

We are so glad you are considering a visit to Calvary Baptist Church. We know that visiting a new church can be a little intimidating at times. As you plan your visit, we want to make your first experience as smooth and stress free as possible and give you everything you need to know before you arrive.

Calvary Baptist Church exists to glorify God by preaching and teaching His Word, loving and discipling people, equipping believers for service, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond.

We strive to make sure everyone in every season of life feels welcome and that they have a place to belong – from birth to retirement.

What to Expect

ARRIVE AT CBC

We’re located at 20957 Timberlake Road in Lynchburg, Virginia. We recommend getting here about 15 minutes early.

FIND A SPOT

Parking is located near the back entrance of the building. Our First Impressions team will be there to greet you with a smile on their face!

HAVE KIDS?

From birth through fifth grade, we have age-appropriate groups at all services. Your kids will learn in a group of kids their own age and will come home with things to discuss relevant to their age and development.

TREAT YOURSELF

Visit the CBC coffee counter and join us in the worship center.

SIT BACK AND RELAX

Get ready for an awesome worship service! You can expect to be led in worship songs, hear some announcements, and then a relevant message from our pastor.

COME SAY HELLO

We’d love to meet you! You can fill out a Welcome Card or meet us in the lobby so we can get you plugged in!

Wear whatever you want and you are comfortable in!

We worship with upbeat, contemporary Christian music blended with some hymns and songs from decades past.  It is our hope that everyone connects with the songs on a Sunday morning in a way that helps them draw closer to God.

From birth through fifth grade, we have age-appropriate groups at all services.  Your kids will learn in a group of kids their own age and will come home with things to discuss relevant to their age and development.

For students sixth grade & up, we invite you to check out our Youth Ministry pages.

We have ministries for a variety of life stages and needs.  We believe that every person attending has the ability to impact and influence another person!  No matter your age, we have ministries in which you can take your next step in finding your identity in Christ and growing in your relationship with Him as you serve others and share your faith.  All of our ministries are built around the idea that each of us can and should have a role to play in helping others experience God.
