We are so glad you are considering a visit to Calvary Baptist Church. We know that visiting a new church can be a little intimidating at times. As you plan your visit, we want to make your first experience as smooth and stress free as possible and give you everything you need to know before you arrive.
Our church exists to serve and go that our unbelieving neighbors become committed followers of Jesus Christ. We strive to make sure everyone in every season of life feels welcome and that they have a place to belong – from birth to retirement.

What to Expect
ARRIVE AT CBC
We’re located at 20957 Timberlake Road in Lynchburg, Virginia. We recommend getting here about 15 minutes early.
FIND A SPOT
Our First Impressions team will be there to greet you with a smile on their face!
HAVE KIDS?
From birth through fifth grade, we have age-appropriate groups at all services. Your kids will learn in a group of kids their own age and will come home with things to discuss relevant to their age and development.
TREAT YOURSELF
Visit the CBC coffee counter and join us in the worship center.
SIT BACK AND RELAX
Get ready for an awesome worship service! You can expect to be led in worship songs, hear some announcements, and then a relevant message from our pastor.
COME SAY HELLO
We’d love to meet you! You can fill out a Welcome Card or meet us in the lobby so we can get you plugged in!

Meet the Staff
DR. LOUIS BECKWITH, JR.
Lead Pastor
Dr. Louis Beckwith has been the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church since 2008 and served on staff since 2002. Originally from Connecticut, he is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Liberty University. Louis and his wife, Sarah, have been married since 2009 and have three children.
LUKE HENSLEY
Director of Student Ministries
Luke Hensley has served on staff at Calvary Baptist Church since 2021. Originally from North Carolina, he graduated from Liberty University with both his Bachelor and Master degrees.
AIMEE ROSSER
Director of Music Ministries
REBECCA CALDWELL
Administrative Assistant
Rebecca Caldwell has served as Ministry Secretary since December 2021. She and her husband, James, have been married since 2004, have 2 children, and reside in Bedford.
