We at Calvary Baptist Church have a desire to see all the children grow into young men and women who deeply love Jesus Christ. As that is our desire, we have put into place opportunities for them to learn truths about God’s character and the work done in and through the cross. Here are a few of those opportunities:
Infant and Toddler Care
Calvary offers infant and toddler care for our Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night activities. Your child’s care and safety is of top priority to our church. Our nursery workers, both paid and volunteer, must pass a background check in order to serve in the nursery. Additionally, we ensure that there are two adults in each room, along with a youth helper. All children are to be checked in to our KidCheck system upon arrival, and checked out through this system when they leave.
In addition to their safety, we desire for our children to be exposed to the foundational truths of the Bible. Every Sunday during the main service, our leaders read a short story from The Jesus Storybook in our toddler. If you would like a copy of this please let Brandon Milks know.
Every Sunday morning we offer Sunday school for all age groups. Our children meet with their teachers, who deeply love the Lord, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. We have made an effort to make family discipleship a real and tangible goal for every family that attends Calvary Baptist Church. Therefore, every Sunday School class from Pre-K through 5th grade works out of the Gospel Project curriculum by LifeWay.
Pre-K (children start at the age of 2)
K – 2nd Grade
3rd Grade – 5th Grade
During our services, apart from the first service of every month, we invite all children in grades K-5 to our Jr. Church. Here, our students will have the opportunity to listen to a member of our youth group teach truths from God’s word. The lessons are based out of The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook by The Gospel Project. These lessons are based on all the stories you may know, but ensures to provide the “Christ Connection” so that our children continue to learn that Christ can be seen in all of Scripture.
Word of Life Program
Each Sunday night, Calvary purposes specific time to the discipleship of our children. We use the Word of Life curriculum where our children engage with peers to study God’s word more intimately. Each week, our children are encouraged to learn a new Bible verse, work through their devotionals, and even challenged to serve when able.
